18.12.2007 Dear friends! AdVita charitable fund would like to
invite you to our Christmas auction
(auction's booklet, 4.66 mb)
benefiting children with cancer who receive treatment
at the hospitals of St. Petersburg.
The auction will be part of "Peterburg", annual art exhibition in St. Petersburg,
and will take place on January 12, 2008 at Manezh Central Exhibition Hall on
Isaakievskaya square, 1.
The auction will start at 3 pm. All winning bids have to be paid for in cash. The music
program for the guests of the auction will be prepared by the young musicians, laureates
of Vladimir Spivakov International Charitable Fund.
As in the last year, the auction items will be offered by the professional artists,
sculptors, doll makers, photographers, ceramic artists, as well as children who receive
treatment for cancer and young artists from Kitezh, Children's art school. We will
publish the catalog of the auction items in the next few days. The lot prices range
from 1,000 rubles to 80,000 rubles, with an average price of 5,000 rubles.
Dear friends! It is very important for us that the auction has good attendance. January
and February are traditionally financially difficult months for the clinics, as the
medications purchased from the last year's budget are used up, and the new supplies
start coming in only in the beginning of March. However, the treatments cannot be
stopped even for a day! For the patients this "empty" period is a real
catastrophe. The budget money is not there, and the charitable donations dry up as
well in January, after people have spent on gifts and holidays. We would like to ask you: when you are preparing for the Christmas and New Year
celebrations, please remember those who need help, those who will spend the holidays
at the hospitals.
We really ask everyone who can help to come to our auction and buy one of the lots.
Please help us with spreading the word about our auction. Tell your friends, relatives
and co-workers. We cannot let our patients go without treatment.
We would like to thank everyone who helped organize the auction: all the donors, Kelly
Services – St. Petersburg and Alexei Zelentsov and Anna Ustiyants personally, Romir
Monitoring Peterburg and Anna Hmeleva personally, Larisa Skobkina, curator of the annual
Peterburg art exhibit in Manezh Central Exhibition Hall, Nonna Yanovskaya, representative
of Vladimir Spivakov International Charitable Fund, TSKP-Northwest and Igor Shuvalov
personally, Lori photo bank and Irina Terentieva personally.
A brochure about our auction (a catalog will also be available soon) can be requested
by calling Elena Gracheva at 8-901-30-88-728, or emailing lenagr@mail.ru
Thank you very much in advance!

are in a very difficult situation with obtaining life-saving Vfend and Cancidas

Nastia Matushkina. This should last Nastia for two
months (starting on July 11th).
- We are sincerely grateful to Anna for donating 2 packages of Vfend for
Renata Maksudova. It should last Renata until
July 21st.
- We purchased Vfend for Natalia Temnikova and

- Vika Bystrova is currently being considered for continuation
of Vfend therapy.
- We are sincerely grateful to AiF - St. Petersburg newspaper and Children in Peril

02.07.2007 Masha Rybakova needs Ampholip in addition to Cancidas therapy. Overall,
she needs to spend 28,000 rubles DAILY on her medications, for at least three weeks. Please help Masha!
28.06.2007 Dear friends!
It so happened that several of our patients need extremely expensive medications at the same time. Masha Rybakova needs Cancidas at a cost of 16,000 rubles a day. Denis Sysoev, Renata Maksudova,
Natalia Temnikova, Igor Andrianov,
Nastia Matushkina and Veronika Bystrova need Vfend.
It means that we need to raise 150,000 rubles a week just for Vfend! If our patients cannot take Vfend and Cancidas, all the efforts of their doctors will be wasted.
The hospitals do not have these drugs in stock, and they are not available under free medication program. These costs come on top of daily treatment and testing
expenses of 67 patients who are still on treatment, as well as periodic help to 60 patients who were discharged. In summer, the donations drop dramatically.
We get very little response to the letters from our patients published in newspapers and various online forums. Many people are vacationing.
However, the children and adults are still getting sick. Moreover, with the closure of BMT clinic at State Medical University, the financial pressures on our fund had
seriously grown. We now pay for hospitalization of out-of-town patients in the municipal clinics, apartment rent for those who were discharged as outpatients and
medications that are lacking in hospitals not specializing in oncology.
It is a very difficult time for us! We cannot allow our children and adult patients to suffer as a result of our inability to help them with
medications.
We will be very grateful for any help and any ideas which would help us find life-saving medications or money.
28.06.2007 Andrei Smironov was found to have changes, which may be explained by a relapse or
infectious encephalitis. While BMT clinic is closed, all of Andrei's treatment is paid for by AdVita fund.
28.06.2007 Renata Maksudova's hepatitis C reactivated, and she needs therapy with Roferon and Heptral.
She may also need hospitalization at Botkin hospital. Since she is an out-of-town patient, she would have to pay for her treatment in full.
28.06.2007 Masha Kokshina was discharged home, but she still needs many medications and
test strips for testing her blood sugar. In addition, she will soon need Valcyte. The cost of a package with 60 pills, which will last a
month, is 70,000 rubles.
28.06.2007 Igor Andrianov shows no donated blood cells by 47th day post-transplantation. In addition, he
is allergic to Orungal and he needs to take Vfend (200 mg) twice a day. The cost of a package (14 capsules) is 30,500 rubles.

to the current circumstances. You refuse to sign an amendment to the agreement and share financial responsibility with us... due to specifics of your
activities, our management made this decision as we are now changing our policy and we will be developing different markets...
We are now considering reevaluating all our agreements with charitable organizations (in terms of canceling our contracts)"
