Hello!
Our family is in great trouble: seven months ago my son Vladislav was diagnosed with a terrible disease – acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Vlad is 16 years old; after finishing 9 grades at school he entered a polytechnical training school and was looking forward to the start of school year because he is very excited to master the profession he has chosen. But in August he found a lump on his neck which began to grow very quickly. The doctors performed a biopsy, and it took my son a long time to recover after general anesthesia. Since that time we have been almost living in hospital. After the doctors had arrived at a precise diagnosis a lengthy and difficult treatment course began. The doctors say that Vlad might need a bone marrow transplantation. Fortunately our younger daughter can be his donor, she and Vlad are genetically compatible, so our daughter can donate her stem cells which will then be transplanted to our son. But at present the most important thing is to keep the remission and sustain Vlad's health. Unfortunately computed tomography showed some changes in the lungs, namely fungal infection, the most dangerous thing after chemotherapy, so Vlad will need Vfend. This is a very expensive drug. One pack that costs some 27,000 roubles is only enough for one week, and Vlad needs Vfend for a long time.
Because I have had to spend almost all my time in hospital with my son I was fired from my job while the company was cutting staff. Now we have to live on my husband's salary, but it is only enough for the food and inexpensive drugs. There is of course no money left for Vfend, and it is vitally important for my son!
Please help our family. We love our son and are ready to sacrifice everything we have for him but unfortunately it is just not enough. Thank you very much.

Vlad's mother
