Volodya died on August 21, 2011
Hello!
My name is Margarita Petrovna. I would like to ask for help for my son.
Volodya is 18, and he has been sick for six years. He now needs to undergo
bone marrow transplantation. A donor has already been found, and Grant Life
fund has paid 5,000 euros for the donor search at the international registry.
However, we still owe 10,000 euros for the collection of transplant material
and its delivery to Russia. The money is needed urgently!
Please help Volodya is you have such an opportunity! Thank you in advance
for your response.

Update as of May 25, 2009.
We are sincerely grateful to the donors to the Russian Help Fund for
agreeing transfer 10,000 Euros raised for collection of transplant for
Nastia Ilder to Volodya Kurdukov's
needs. Nastia will not need this money.
Unfortunately, she has no matching donors at the international registry.
We need to urgently raise 2,500 Euros for delivery of transplant for
Volodya, as his transplantation is scheduled for the beginning of June.
Update as of May 29, 2009.
The transplantation was scheduled for June 24.
Update as of August 8, 2009.
Volodya recovered after bone marrow transplantation, but he needs Vfend
to prevent aspergillosis.
Update as of September 8, 2009.
Volodya was discharged for outpatient monitoring. He still takes Vfend to
prevent aspergillosis. Volodya and his mother also need help with paying
for taxis or volunteer help with transportation, as Volodya still has
difficulty walking and he is not allowed to use public transportation.
Update as of October 1, 2009.
Unfortunately, donor's bone marrow did not engraft, and Volodya needs
second transplantation that was scheduled for October 13th. We urgently
need to raise 9,700 euros for collection of stem cells and 2,500 euros
for delivery of transplant. Volodya is also continuing Vfend therapy.
Update as of December 29, 2009.
Volodya recovered after transplantation and was discharged for
outpatient monitoring. He has some complications (hemorrhagic cystitis)
and needs Albumin.
Volodya's family needs continuing help with paying for trips on taxi,
since Volodya and his mother stay with their relatives in Kupchino and
Volodya is not yet allowed to use public transport.
Update as of January 25, 2010.
Volodya's cystitis stabilized, but he developed symptoms of GVHD
of mucous tissues (in his mouth and eyes). On Tuesday, doctors'
council will discuss the possibility of photopheresis therapy for GVHD.
Update as of February 20, 2010.
There remain signs of GVH reaction which affected eye mucosa, the doctors
are working on immunosuppressive therapy for him. He also constantly needs
Vfend, 400 mg per day.

Volodya feels better. GVHD of mucous tissues is now less pronounced, so
Volodya was transferred to outpatient monitoring.

The tests showed that Volodya does not have any more lesions in his lungs.
He was taken off Vfend.
Update as of June 4, 2010.
