My name is Vika, I am 33. In October 2008 I was diagnosed with stage IV
Hodgkin's lymphoma. On November 2008 I started treatment at Petrov Research
Institute where I was administered two rounds of chemotherapy, after which
a relapse occurred. My treatment protocol was changed. After the consultation
with hematologists at Gorbacheva Center I was referred to City hospital No.31
for further high-dosage chemotherapy to be followed by bone marrow transplantation.
I am currently on treatment at City hospital No.31. I was referred for several
expensive tests to determine the date of transplantation. Due to my illness,
I cannot earn the money for the testing and treatment and have to ask for
help.

I need 10,000 rubles by June 18th to pay for PET imaging at Radiology
Research Institute. I have very little time left. Please help!

Update as of August 26, 2009.
Victoria is now undergoing the next before last round of chemotherapy
according to the protocol. She feels relatively well.
Update as of October 20, 2009.
PET was scheduled for November 3. Since we need images of three zones
rather than two, as planned earlier, the cost of PET will increase
to 13,000 rubles.
Victoria recovered from sepsis, but due to complications, the next
round of chemotherapy was postponed. Her legs ache a lot. Vika
needs Zometa, and we hope to get it under free medication program.
Update as of November 13, 2009.
Unfortunately, PET imaging discovered a recurrence. Vika will be admitted
at hospital No.31 to continue her treatment. She was laid off from her
work, and she really needs financial help.
Update as of December 12, 2009.
I have been at the hospital since November 11th. I underwent chemotherapy
and feel relatively well, although my blood counts stay low. At the end of
December, I will need to have PET imaging of one zone, and it will
cost 6,000 rubles.
I would like to ask for your help with paying for it, and I am very
grateful to you in advance!

Update as of January 10, 2010.
In December, the PET imagining showed that Vika accumulates
contrast agent. Further treatment is under discussion.
Update as of January 18, 2010.
It was decided to offer autologous transplantation to Victoria.
Stem cells collection is scheduled for January 21.
Update as of February 1, 2010.
On January 21, insufficient volume of bone marrow was collected
from Victoria. On February 3rd she is planned to be admitted to
hospital No.31 for a course for Cyclophosphane therapy, followed
by stem cell collection.
Update as of October 24, 2010.
CT in September did not reveal any negative dynamics which is a good sign.
On November 2 Victoria is scheduled for a Medical Commission where the
experts will consider canceling her non-working disability group.
Victoria is hoping to go back to work where she is much needed.
