Other Serezha's photos

Hello!
My name is Marina Kalmykova, I live in Tyumen region. I am a mother of five sons. Tragically, my oldest son Dima died in 2003. Then we had to face another problem. In June 2007 my youngest son Serezha had vaccinations, and two weeks later he developed health problems. From active and happy child he turned into a tired sad boy who had no appetite. Our visits to doctors were fruitless. We were simply told that he had "some kind of infection", and the doctors refused to test Serezha. This lasted several months. And on November 2 I called ambulance that took us to Zavodoukovsky hospital, and based on puncture results, Serezha was diagnosed with acute leukemia.
For almost eight months we stayed at Hematology Unit of Regional Clinical Hospital in Tyumen. Serezha was discharged on June 24, 2008, but in April 2009 he had a relapse. Once again we were admitted to the hospital for chemotherapy. Now my Serezha needs bone marrow transplantation to recover fully. The donor search produced no results. All three Serezha's brothers do not match as donors. We are now at R. Gorbacheva Pediatric Hematology and Transplantology Institute. Since Serezha's father died in 2004, only I can be my son's bone marrow donor.
I am asking for your help, because we need to raise a lot of money for the special equipment for haploidentical transplantation. Of all my older sons, only second one has a full-time job. The third is a student at a trade school. In our town, the wages can only cover bare necessities. Please help me save my son!

Respectfully,
Marina Kalmykova
