Hello,
My name is Andrei Lipunov. I am a father of three young children. My son Pavel
was born on October 15, 1994. On December 22, 2009 he got sick. He was examined
and treated at Polenov Neurosurgery Institute for a month, where he was diagnosed
with glial tumor of left frontal and parietal lobes of his brain.
Further treatment at the first stage of therapy requires Mustofan drug,
6 ampoules that cost 30,000 rubles each, for the total cost of 180,000 rubles.
Help is needed urgently! You are our only hope. Thank you in advance!
Update as of April 2, 2010.
On March 31, my son underwent surgery at City hospital No.5 to
remove a tumor. The operation lasted 5 hours. Yesterday Pasha was
transferred to a regular room, and today a shunt was removed.
We are waiting for a speech therapist. Pasha's mom is staying at
the clinic with Pasha and she told me happy news: our son
smiled today and started eating a little.
Thank you very much for helping our son!
Andrei Vassilievich, Pavel's father
Update as of July 1, 2010.
On July 25th Pasha was discharged from City Hospital No.31
where he received chemotherapy and radiation. He is in a
stable condition and started speaking more words and move better.
PET is scheduled for July 22 and will cost 14,000 rubles.
In addition, Pasha will need MRI, the cost of which is
being verified. His family needs help with paying for these tests.
Update as of October 24, 2010.
After Pasha had been discharged from hospital he was feeling ok, but
the summer heat and sultriness lead to cramps and Pavel was admitted
to Children's City Hospital 5 where the doctors coped with his
problems and the boy was transferred to City Hospital 31 for further
treatment.
Pavel was administered three chemotherapy courses. A week ago the boy's
condition worsened dramatically, urination became involuntary, his
legs stopped functioning. PET testified to the growth of the tumor,
treatment was prescribed.
Pavel is now feeling bad: he does not get up from bed, his has
coordination problems and cannot sit. He needs diapers for adults
(size 2 or 3, one pack is enough for 2-3 days) as well as
sheets and wipes.
Update as of November 24, 2010.
Since November 11th Pavel and his mother are
in children's' hospice. The hospice has all means of care and alleviation of
his condition.
