I am addressing everyone who could help us at this difficult time.
My name is Tatiana. My younger son Petya, 17 years old, has acute
myeloblastic leukemia.
Petya used to be healthy and active like many other boys, he was
active in sports.
In the beginning of the year 2010 my son had flu and could not get
over it for a long time: the temperature was getting high periodically
and he was fatigued. It was the local Altay Regional Clinic (we live
in Barnaul) where my son was examined and a terrifying diagnosis was
first mentioned to us.
Petya is a strong person, he keeps on fighting the disease persistently.
Since April 2010 he went through 10 chemotherapy cycles, and now he is
in remission. But the type of leukemia he has will relapse without bone
marrow transplantation.
Petya has two older brothers, but none of them matched as a donor.
I raise three of my sons alone. Two of my children are college students,
and Petya is a 11th grade student. I have a job, but it is impossible for
me to save 15,000 euros for the International Register to find and activate
a donor, and 2500 euros more for the transplant delivery.
I am thankful to everyone who would be so kind to lend us a hand in this
uneasy situation.

Update as of September 27, 2011.
Thanks to the help of family friends, the first payment of 5000 euros was already made,
and the search for donor has already begun.
Update as of December 25, 2011.
Petr feels rather well and receives maintenance therapy: infusions of
medications at the hospital once a month. A donor was not found yet.
