Olga died on December 3, 2010

My name is Olga. I was born on April 26, 1972. In 2006 my husband died after a heart attack. I was left alone with our two-year old daughter. I guess that due to that emotional distress I developed this disease: acute myeloblastic leukemia.
Since November 2009 I have been on treatment at Alexander clinic where I received three cycles of chemotherapy. I take Gleevec and am now under monitoring of a doctor from R. Gorbacheva center. I was recommended bone marrow transplantation and I need to start a search for a bone marrow donor at the international registry.
I cannot afford the search for the donor and delivery of transplant (15,000 euros plus 2,500 euros) on my own. Please help me!

Medical conclusion

Update as of June 22, 2010. Olya's bone marrow transplantation was scheduled for July 30th. Olya is now in remission and she is undergoing tests. She still takes an antifungal drug Noxafil, because the tests showed presence of fungal infection.

Update as of July 30, 2010. Today Olya underwent bone marrow transplantation.

Update as of November 16, 2010. Olga recovered rather quickly and on August 19th she was discharged for outpatient monitoring.
She felt well and had only slight skin GVHD. On November 1st Olya felt unwell: her blood sugar rose and she was very nauseous. She is now hospitalized at Alexandrovsky hospital for examination.
She is in remission in regards to leukemia. Olya still needs Vfend, but since she cannot eat at this time, it will be infused intravenously (2 bottles a day for indeterminate time). Each bottle costs 5,500 rubles.
