Nastia died on May 8, 2010

I represent the administration of the State-Run Educational Institution Special (Correction) Orphanage of the town of Bogorodsk and am asking you for your financial help needed for one of our girls, Nastia Pimenova, born 1996. Nastia has been sick with leukemia since 2001. Her diagnosis is acute lymphoblastic leukemia, second isolated marrow relapse, third acuity; acute myeloblastic leukemia M2, second tumor, acute period.
Nastia came to the Bogorodsk orphanage for preschool and junior school children on May 31, 2000. Her parents have been deprived of their parental rights. In April 2001 Nastia was admitted to the hematology unit of the Novgorod Regional Children's Clinical Hospital where she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. A treatment course resulted in a remission in 2003.
On May 5, 2004 Nastia had a pre-school examination and was recommended to go to the 1st grade of a special (correction) school of type 8.
On September 1, 2004 Nastia came to the State-Run Educational Institution Special (Correction) Orphanage of the town of Bogorodsk. In March 2006 Nastia suddenly had a fever of 40°C combined with a bad headache, cough and a hemorrhagic skin rash. Nastia was urgently admitted to the Novgorod Regional Children's Clinical Hospital where she got the following diagnosis: relapse of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, neuroleukemia, toxic encephalopathy, toxic hepatitis, toxic cardiomyopathy resulting from long-term administration of anticancer drugs.
Nastia has been staying at the hematology unit of the Novgorod Regional Children's Clinical Hospital from March 10, 2006 till September 11, 2007 and got 10 chemotherapy blocks and brain and spinal cord radiation therapy. She continued to get ambulatory treatment up until May 20, 2009.
Long-term administration of anticancer drugs resulted in new complications – osteoporosis and secondary immunodeficiency, but she was in remission from leukemia, and the drugs were canceled on May 20, 2009.
On August 5, 2009 the hematologists of the Novgorod Regional Children's Clinical Hospital diagnosed her with a second leukemia relapse, and Nastia was once again admitted to the clinic for the treatment course. That's where the girl is now.
The only chance for Nastia is a bone marrow transplantation.
The search for a donor in the International registry costs 15,000 euros and another 2,500 euros are needed for the delivery of the transplant to Russia.
The money that came in to Nastia's bank account amounts to 485,734.89 roubles. This is what she got from the Nizhny Novgorod Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance, as well as administration of the town of Bogorodsk, individual entrepreneurs, commercial organizations and private persons.
Please help Nastia!
