Another Maxim's photo

Hello!
My name is Lyudmila Nikolaevna. I am Maxim Matytsin's mother. We are from Tikhvin. My son is 13 years old. He suffers from osteogenic sarcoma of right shoulder bone. He got sick in January 2009. Since September 2009 we have been on treatment at Petrov Oncology Research Institute.
On December 16, 2009 Maxim's right arm was amputated. He underwent four cycles of chemotherapy, and he has at least two more to go.
Maxim's is a quiet boy. He looks for the positives in every situation and tries to use them as support. He enjoys parkour, a discipline of training to overcome any obstacle within one's path, with his rollerblades. He also loves bowling and playing pool and diving. Maxim dreams of learning to take pictures underwater. In fall of 2009 he became interested in photography.
Our family is in a difficult financial situation, and I would like to ask for help with buying current medications and paying for our living expenses. We will be grateful to everyone who responds.
Thank you in advance.

Respectfully,
Lyudmila Nikolaevna, Maxim's mom

Medical report

Update as of February 21, 2010. On February 15th Maxim had his birthday. That day he had a course of high-dose Methotrexate, while his photos were at the exhibit "We live on this Earth" that was opened in Moscow by Grant Life fund with participation of Advita fund.
If Maxim tolerates this course well, then he will have a second course on February 24th.
Maxim is continuing to take pictures and is actively involved with "DA!" children's animation studio.

Update as of March 30, 2010. Maxim completed 5th chemotherapy cycle and was allowed to go home to recover. He feels rather well. The 6th cycle is planned to start in two weeks, and Maxim will need Holoxan.

Update as of June 25, 2010. Maxim completed therapy and is now in remission based on control tests. He needs to get prosthesis. The prosthetic specialists from Albrecht Prosthetics Institute are ready to make an individual prosthesis for Maxim from "growing" parts, which will be lightweight and ergonomic. The bill for the prosthesis will be received shortly.

Update as of September 7, 2010. Thanks to anonymous supporters, prosthesis for Maxim that costs 140,000 rubles was paid for. Maxim feels great.

Update as of November 15, 2011. Maxim feels well and is in remission. He studies at school, takes music lessons and driving classes. As all the chemotherapy cycles are finished, he will be hospitalized at Petrov Oncology Institute in mid-December for a port removal.
Maxim continues to grow, and he now needs a new prosthesis that costs 155,357 rubles. It will be custom made for Maxim using parts made by Otto Bock, a German manufacturer. The sooner the bill is paid, the better are the chances that Maxim would have a new prosthesis for the New Year.
