In August 2009 my daughter Ksenia was admitted to hospital No.5.
There she was preliminarily diagnosed with lymphogranulomatosis,
and then transferred to the Pediatric Unit of hospital No.31.
The diagnosis was confirmed: stage IV Hodgkin's lymphoma.
By now we have completed four chemotherapy courses, after which
Ksenia needs series of tests: CT scan, PET and trepanobiopsy.
The CT scan after the 2nd round of chemotherapy showed
positive dynamic.
Ksenia has metastases in her bone marrow. The transplantation
has not been recommended yet, but the doctors may still
consider it necessary later.
We need to undergo two more courses of chemotherapy, and
then Ksenia will go for radiation therapy. Please help us with
paying for the CT scan and PET (they cost 26,000 rubles in total).

Update as of December 25, 2009.
Ksenia is now going through the 5th chemotherapy course.
Computed tomography and PET testify to positive dynamics.
She is feeling fine and is in a good mood.
Update as of January 14, 2010.
Ksyusha spent holidays at home: she rested, saw her friends and
had classes with her teachers. The results of trepanobiopsy that
became known just prior to the New Year are encouraging:
there are no lymphoma cells. Tomorrow Ksyusha will start
the 6th cycle of chemotherapy.
Update as of February 15, 2010.
Based on results of CT and PET imaging, there no signs of
disease progression. Ksyusha is now at home and she feels
well and is in a good mood.
Update as of February 20, 2010.
Radiation therapy has started, Ksenia has already had 3 sessions. She is
feeling ok. Radiation therapy will last for 1-1.5 months.
Update as of February 28, 2010.
The radiation therapy is continuing. Ksyusha lives at home and comes to
the hospital for procedures and tests. She feels well.
Update as of March 30, 2010.
Ksyusha's radiation therapy is over. She is at home, studying
for the exit tests. The next checkup will be in May.
Update as of June 7, 2010.
Based on PET and CT scan results, Ksyusha is confirmed to be
in remission. She will go to the next checkup in a month.
Update as of August 20, 2010.
Based on results on CT scan in August, remission was confirmed.
Ksenia successfully passed college entrance exams and enrolled
into the first year. Congratulations!
Update as of October 7, 2010.
Ksyusha feels well. She is in remission in regards to primary illness.
She is planed to go for PET imaging in the next few days.
Update as of March 13, 2011.
Based on test results, all is well. The next examination is in May.
Ksyusha successfully passed college tests.
