Hello!
my name is Ivan Morozov. In 2010 I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma.
The same year I underwent 8 cycles of various chemotherapy regiments, and
in November I underwent autologous bone marrow transplantation. Unfortunately,
disease was responding to the contrary to expectations – it kept progressing.
I then had the only chance left to try: bone marrow transplantation from an
unrelated donor. In early 2011 I became unemployed after the organization
where I worked was liquidated, and it was very difficult to find another job
as I normally had only 3-10 days of a break after spending a month at the hospital.
Since I had the money I was saving to improve my living conditions, I was able to
pay for the search for an unrelated donor at the international registry (15,000 euros)
and delivery of transplant (2,500 euros). In mid-November transplantation took place
and went well.
During treatment I developed invasive aspergillosis, a fungal infection of lungs.
This is one of the most dangerous complications after transplantation. Now I need to
take a very expensive antifungal drug Vfend for a long time. A pack of this drug costs
close to 27,000 rubles and lasts a week. Treatment is expected to last several months.
My financial means are now exhausted, and I am forced to ask for help. I am ready to
loan the money, as I hope for the happy end and my recovery, but there is also a risk,
understandably, that I will not be able to repay it.
I will be grateful to everyone who responds to my request for help.
Respectfully, Ivan
Update as of December 12, 2011.
Unfortunately, Ivan's condition is worsening. Due to pleural edema
caused by lung infiltration by disease, Ivan was transferred to a ventilator.
He is receiving appropriate therapy.
