Hello!
I am a mother of Hudoidod Yazonov. We have been in St. Petersburg for about
a year. Before then we lives in Kolkhozobadsky district near Dushanbe. For
the last several years, we had no jobs at the collective farm. We stopped
receiving pay. So we moved to Leningradsky region where we are employed in
farming.
On April 1, my son Hudoidod Yazonov's throat started to hurt, and an
ambulance took him to Children's hospital No.1, where he was diagnosed with
acute leukemia. My second son, Islomidin Yazonov, is 4. My daughter Oisha
is 17. Our family has no money. We expect a little income in May – June when
my husband will be able to get a farming job, and we have no other sources
of income. We would like to ask kindhearted people who have such opportunity
to help us pay for our son's treatment. We will be enormously grateful to you.

Update as of June 3, 2009.
Hudoidon will soon be transferred to
chemotherapy unit. We are very grateful to Advita fund supporters for
paying for our son’s treatment. Thank you for giving life to our son!
Zulfia, Hudoidod's mom
Update as of August 23, 2009.
Hudoidod turned 8 on August 15th. We are
sincerely grateful to volunteers of web forum St. Petersburg's Parents Club,
and Tatiana personally, for the gifts for the boy and continuing support of
his family. The treatment is proceeding according to the plan.
Unfortunately, we received very few donations for Hudoidod's treatment.
Update as of October 2, 2009.
Hudoidod is close to completing the main treatment course that will last
another month. He feels well.
Update as of November 6, 2009.
On November 10th Hudoidod will complete main course of treatment. He will
receive maintenance therapy at the place of residence, in Dushanbe. He needs
help with buying the following medications for the therapy:
1. Vincristine - 48 ampoules,
2. Dexamethasone - 672 mg - 27 packages,
3. Methotrexate - 1740 mg, or 35 ampoules at 50 mg each,
4. 6MP (Purinethol) - 20,300 mg, or 17 packages.
We are sincerely grateful to Grant Life fund and Atlant-Soyyuz airline
for providing Hudoidod and his father with free tickets from Moscow to
Dushanbe. We only need to pay for the fuel surcharge - the amount is being
clarified.
In addition, we urgently need to raise money to buy train tickets to Moscow.
Hudoidod's family is in a dire situation and will not be able to afford
these expenses without support of others. Also, we are looking for a
volunteer who could meet Hudoidod and his father in Moscow on November 11th and
take them from the train station to Vnukovo airport.
Update as of November 30, 2009.
Hudoidod is continuing treatment at his place of residence in Dushanbe.
We were able to buy all the chemotherapy medications for the whole course
of treatment. We are sincerely grateful to all our donors and volunteers,
who helped with buying medications, meeting Hudoidod in Moscow at
transferring the family to the airport for the flight to Dushanbe.
We are also grateful to Grant Life fund for negotiating free plane
tickets for the boy.
Update as of January 10, 2010.
Hudoidod is now on maintenance therapy under a protocol recommended
by the St. Petersburg's doctors who treated him at hospital No.31.
Advita Fund paid for 1.5 years of therapy with the medications.
Twice a week, the boy comes to Dushanbe for planned tests and injections
of medications. His treating doctor is Kamildzhon Ismoilov.
From December 22, 2009 to January 2, 2010 Hudoidod completed the
irst re-induction.
After returning home, Hudoidod already got sick with pneumonia (he
was hospitalized for a week), as well as stomatitis with high temperature.
His family had to buy antibiotics and Fluconazole, and they continue
needing to buy Biseptol and Tantum Verde.
The family's financial situation is terrible. Hudoidod had practically
no warm clothes - they could not bring much from St. Petersburg. His
mom had to urgently buy him winter coat and boots. This and first few
trips to Dushanbe took all the donations that Hudoidod's father brought
from St. Petersburg.
Trips to Dushanbe and back cost them close to 500 rubles, which amounts
to 1,000 rubles a week - unless unscheduled trips have to be made.
Sobir, Hudoidod's father, has not found a permanent job yet and takes
temporary jobs whenever he can.
The family has 4 children, with youngest of the kids, 5-year-old Islomidin,
and oldest - 20-year-old Dzhamaledin. He is also looking for a job, but
could not find a permanent job yet. The family has no money for the
trips to Dushanbe, food, wood and coal, clothes and supporting medications.
The treatment is continuing only thanks to help of volunteers from web
forum of St. Petersburg's parents (Littleone), but their efforts are
not sufficient.
We are enormously grateful to Elena Butakova, journalist from Dushanbe,
for her continuing care for the family.
With the money donated by St. Petersburg's parents, she bought and
brought to Hudoidod presents for the New Year, and found medications
in Dushanbe when Hudoidod had therapy-related complications.
Tatyana, volunteer of web forum of St. Petersburg's parents (Littleone).
Update as of February 8, 2010.
Every week, Hudoidod and his mom travel to Dushanbe for tests and an
injection of Methotrexate. They are now able to get an injection on
the same day as the tests are done. This is very convenient, especially
since their trip to Dushanbe is not easy. They get up at 4 am to be able
to undergo both, the injection and the tests. Then they have to go
to the taxi stand with the flashlight, in cold and rain.
Hudoidod's test results are normal.
His mom is very thankful to Advita Fund and Nadia personally
for the financial support! Thanks to this help, she is able to give
Hudoidod nutritious food, which is very important during treatment.
Hudoidod enjoys playing with his brother and he feels well. After
the previous trip to Dushanbe he coughs a little, but the doctor in
Dushanbe said his lungs are fine, it is just a slight cold.
