I am a sister of a young man who vitally needs your support and
financial help. My younger brother Daniil Vadimovich Ryabov is
a student of Rimsky-Korsakov College of Music learning domra.
He is now on a medical leave.
In June 2009 he was hospitalized and diagnosed with myeloblastic leukemia.
The situation was desperate, as the percentage of blast (cancer) cells
in the blood was 90%. The exhausting treatment that lasted three
months resulted in remission. We hoped that all our ordeals,
anxieties and fears were over, but in August 2010 a relapse occurred.
Luckily, Danya was hospitalized at V.A.Almazov Federal Center
for Heart, Blood & Endocrinology and was
treated by the doctors there.
It turned out that Daniil has numerous and serious genetic
mutations and bone marrow transplantation was necessary.
Unfortunately, I didn't match as a donor for my brother. Now the
doctors have begun an urgent search for an unrelated donor so
that transplantation can be performed as soon as possible.
Our total costs will be 17,500 euros!
We have wonderful parents, relatives and friends who support
my brother, but we do not have that much money. We need your
help with raising this amount. If everyone responds to this message,
Danya will beat the disease with your help. I don't have even a
shadow of a doubt that he can do it - he is strong and he will make it!

Daniil's friends and relatives managed to raise
the whole amount for the donor search. Only 2500
euros needs to be raised for the transplant delivery.
Update as of June 21, 2011.
Daniil underwent an anti-relapse cycle of chemotherapy.
He is now on radiation therapy on his head and eyes
(due to CNS leukemia symptoms). After it is over, he is planned
to undergo bone marrow transplantation from an unrelated donor.
Unfortunately, a 100% match was not found, but transplantation
can no longer be postponed.
Update as of July 18, 2011.
Daniil is undergoing brain radiation. He is tolerating is rather well
and is in remission. Transplantation is scheduled for August 7. The money
for delivery of transplant was not raised yet.
Update as of August 10, 2011.
Daniil completed radiation therapy and is now in complete remission.
Bone marrow transplantation was rescheduled for September 7th.
Update as of September 11, 2011.
Transplantation went as planned. Daniil is in cytopenia, gradually recovering.
Mucous membranes suffered most from chemotherapy, so Daniil is not feeling well so far.
Update as of October 30, 2011.
Daniil recovered fully after transplantation. He is in remission and has no
signs of GVHD. He is now at the hospital as he has hemorrhagic cystitis symptoms,
the etiology of which is unclear.
Update as of January 29, 2012.
Unfortunately, planned tests discovered a relapse. On Monday Daniel will start
chemotherapy under FLAG regimen.
Update as of April 18, 2012.
After chemotherapy under FLAG regimen, Danya received donor's lymphocyte infusion.
It then caused acute GVHD and cytomegaloviral infection also developed. Danya is in
remission in regards to primary diagnosis. He is now receiving therapy for GVHD and
infections. He feels much better and takes Valcyte, Vfend, antibiotics and liver
protecting drugs.
Update as of May 4, 2012.
Danya feels well, the lungs CT showed some positive dynamics. Liver
counts are gradually going back to normal. Danya strongly believes he
will soon recover. He is doing the breathing and conditioning exercises
every day twice a day. He is now taking Hepamertz, Vfend, Valcyte,
Acyclovir, Omeprazole, Ciprinol and folic acid.
