Dima died on January 8, 2010

Hello!
My son Dmitry Belov got sick with myelodysplastic syndrome in November 2008. The diagnosis of MDS was issued at Blokhin Russian Oncology Center. Dima needs allogeneic BMT (bone marrow transplantation).
We have long, expensive treatment and rehabilitation ahead of us.
We need to raise 15,000 Euros for the donor search at the European registry and 2,500 Euros for delivery of transplant.
We will be very grateful for any help! Please help us.

Update as of July 13, 2009. We are sincerely grateful to Russian Help Fund for their agreement to pay for the collection of transplant for 10,000 Euros. Therefore, we need to urgently raise 5,000 Euros for the donor search and 2,500 Euros for delivery of bone marrow to St. Petersburg.

Update as of August 26, 2009. While the donor search is underway, the doctors allowed Dima to stay at home for a few weeks. He feels relatively well.

Update as of October 15, 2009. Dima's family is now in a very difficult situation. Dima is now at the hospital where he is recovering after recent transplantation. His father is with him at the room around the clock. Dima also has 1-year-old sister who is with his mother. None of the adults at this family can work at this time, so their financial situation is dire: they have no money even for food. Please help!

Update as of November 13, 2009. Dima was discharged for outpatient monitoring. He feels well, but still needs Vfend.
