WE WOULD LIKE TO ASK AMIR'S SUPPORTERS TO SEND THEIR DONATIONS TO
ADVITA FUND IN US.
THANK YOU!
Dear friends.
I am pleading you for help! My son Amir is 19 months old. The doctors diagnosed
him with bilateral retinoblastoma (eye cancer). This disease is not treated in our
city and we were referred to Helmholz Moscow City Hospital.
After examination, numerous tumors 1-10 mm were found in Amir's right eye and
a 2 mm lesion in his left eye. The tumors grow fast and fill in the eye space - every
minute counts! At the hospital we were offered to remove the right eye but try to fight
for the left eye.
I was not happy about the proposed treatment, as my son could be left without any
sight as a result. I started looking for the clinics. There is a clinic in Essen, Germany,
where I sent my son's medical data. After the documents were reviewed, the doctors
offered a treatment plan that would save my son's life and both eyes as well as
preserve 100% eyesight.
We received the bill for diagnostics for 4,000 euros, and treatment will also be necessary.
I raised half of the money so far, but I have to pay 100% of the money in advance.
And we also need money to fly to Germany and pay for lodging.
I work as a system administrator in an educational centre for handicapped children,
my salary is 7,500 rubles. With the money I earn I cannot pay for my son's treatment.
We can only hope for the help from kindhearted people who care for those in trouble.
Please answer my call! Please help my son stay alive and save his eyes! We wll be grateful
for any help. We have no one to turn to except for you.

Update as of May 4, 2011.
The surgery was successful. Amir feels well. Amir's new photo.

Update as of May 12, 2011.
We returned home. In Amir's right eye the tumor was too large,
and unfortunately it was not possible to save the eye. It had to be
removed before the tumor metastasized to the brain.
Now all our efforts are concentrated on saving his left eye.
Amir underwent radiation and for now all is well, he is stable.
Control tests are scheduled for June 14th, after which further
treatment will be decided.
If no new lesions are found, then it will be sufficient to
undergo examinations every 2-3 months until Amir is 3 years old.
We need 3,000 - 3,500 euros for every trip assuming good results,
and if new tumors are found, the costs will increase.
We are sincerely grateful to everyone for the help we received!
We would not have been able to cope without you! Amir's new photo

Update as of August 19, 2011.
We have a problem - Amir's eye prosthesis broke. We now
urgently need to replace it. The doctor said it is very dangerous to
leave a child without it. Our next visit was scheduled for mid-October
and I have not planned to fly there now. I am at a loss at where to
find money for all the expenses - flights, installation of prosthetic
eye, tests, lodging and meals.
I will be very grateful for your help!

Update as of October 4, 2011.
Our trip to Essen had to be canceled - first because I was sick,
then because of financial problems. Amir is now wearing his old
prosthethis, which is not safe of course
but we had no other choice.
We are expected in Essen on October 25 for examinations and prosthethis
replacement. We need your help.
I have addressed local funds many times with my requests for help,
but have not received any response.

Update as of October 29, 2011.
Amir and I are now in Essen. Based on test results, one of the tumors
disappeared and another stayed the same size. There are no new tumors!
Unfortunately, Amir had a bad reaction to anesthesia and
ended up in ICU.
We still need help with paying for medical services at the
clinic and a prosthesis.

Update as of February 25, 2012.
Amir and I will soon need to fly for control tests scheduled for March 20th.
Not including air tickets, we hope to spend no more than
1000-1200 euros for the visit. We are hoping for your help and support!
